A Good Listener
If you want to make sure that between you and someone else there is good communication, don’t only work on your telling skills; work on your listening skills. Take time to replay a message, particularly if it’s an important situation. If you need to communicate something of real importance, don’t walk off believing that because you said it, the other person has heard. Why not arrange between you a little understanding that it’s perfectly alright to say, “Please tell me what you heard me say.”
